Because Phishing Never Sleeps, Phish Fryday Podcast Returns
Episode 1 Features Cisco and CIA Cybersecurity Experts
By Christopher Gibbons
Cybersecurity is a challenging space, with bad actors developing more complex attacks every year and IT departments constantly evaluating their security postures to improve their defenses without blowing their budgets. How should organizations keep up with the threat landscape? How can CIOs think more strategically about their security stack? These complex challenges not only require but attract some of the greatest problem-solvers in business and technology, and we want to share insights from them with you.
Cofense is excited to announce the relaunch of our podcast, Phish Fryday, and an expansion of its purpose. We’re going beyond strictly phishing topics and will be tackling all elements of cybersecurity. The podcast name may be “Phish Fryday,” but that doesn’t mean you’ll only hear from us on Fridays. Because phishing issues constantly arise and evolve, new episodes won’t necessarily be saved for a specific day of the week. We’re bringing in leading business and cybersecurity problem-solvers from a variety of backgrounds and asking them about the problems they’ve faced, how they solved them, and where cybersecurity needs to go.
Our first episode is a roundtable with three experienced and respected leaders in the industry. They are: Brad Boston, the former Chief Information Officer of Cisco and a member of Business Executives for National Security; Christopher Burgess, a 30-year veteran of the Central Intelligence Agency and a leading writer on global security issues; and Rohyt Belani, co-founder and CEO of Cofense, who led the company’s growth from concept to more than 400 employees globally serving 2,000-plus enterprise customers.
Together, they discuss how to prepare for an increasingly dynamic threat landscape, how vendors can be partners, and what questions security professionals need to ask.
