Cofense Named Among Top Email Security Vendors in Forrester Landscape Report

Recent announcement of Cofense’s Protect+ adds fully automated email security solution for mid-sized market

Cofense, a global email security company and leading provider of phishing detection and response (PDR) solutions, has been recognized among the leading email security vendors in Forrester’s Enterprise Email Security Landscape, Q1 2023 Report. This report is designed to help Forrester clients understand, identify, and explore email security vendors and services that align with their most critical business technology needs.

Trusted by 25% of the Fortune 1000, Cofense is the only end-to-end email security solution powered by a global network of more than 35 million users to identify, protect, detect, and respond to email security threats. Utilizing crowdsourced intelligence and machine learning, Cofense enables customers to proactively evolve with the threat landscape while better defending and protecting themselves against email attacks.

“With phishing continuing to be one of the most prevalent forms of cyberattacks, we are continually evolving our products to provide customers with the most advanced email security solutions,” said Cofense Chief Product Officer, Keith Ibarguen. “Being named amongst some of the top email security vendors in the world is validation that our dedication to automated, intelligent email security solutions are changing the way companies defend themselves.”

The Forrester Landscape Report comes on the heels of Cofense’s recent announcement of its latest product, Cofense Protect+, to support its entry into the mid-sized market. Set to launch in the spring of 2023, Protect+ is a fully automated, low-touch platform that combines email threat protection, realistic phishing simulations, and security awareness training into a single, easy-to-use solution.

In addition to the announcement of Protect+, the company also recently announced that Cofense Vision, which allows organizations to automatically identify and auto quarantine emails in minutes, saw a 40% year-over-year increase in customer adoption, which in part led to strong, double-digit, year-over-year growth in total global sales.

This expanded customer base enables Cofense to gather an even broader range of threat insights from Cofense Reporter and Cofense Intelligence. From this data, suspicious emails are quickly identified and analyzed, and threats are automatically quarantined and removed from inboxes across the Cofense Global Network, significantly reducing the chances of a security breach for customers worldwide.

In 2022, Cofense was able to auto-quarantine and remove a record-setting number of threats and phishing campaigns that were missed by traditional secure email gateways. Last year, Cofense Intelligence detected 569% more malicious phishing emails and identified 595% more phishing campaigns inside enterprises’ inboxes. In addition, the team also had a 478% increase in the number of credential phishing-related Active Threat Reports published, once again highlighting that credential phishing was the phishing attack of choice in 2022.
