On the first day of Phishless Christmas, PhishMe gave to me…
It’s been an excellent year for us all here at PhishMe, and to celebrate the holidays and give thanks, we’re giving our followers a chance to earn money for charity through what we are calling the 12 Days of Phishless Christmas. Starting Friday, December 14, and continuing each day until Christmas Day, we’ll be tweeting every day with a new opportunity for our followers to win a donation to charity in their name.
During those 12 days, we’ll be sending tweets from the @PhishMe account every day at 9 AM and 12 PM Eastern Standard Time mentioning how to win a donation for Phishless Christmas (we’ll be putting out 12 of them, 12 days of Christmas, get it?). To win, simply reply to the tweet before 12 AM EST with the hashtag #phishlessxmas for a chance to win a $50US donation in your name to your choice of these charities:
- Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project
- Friends of Homeless Animals
- Epilepsy Foundation
- Wounded Warrior Project
- American Red Cross
- World Vision
- Doctors Without Borders (USA)
- Invisible Children
- American Cancer Society
- Save the Children
- Susan G. Comen for the Cure
- Feed The Children
- Disabled American Veterans Charitable Service Trust
- MS Society (UK)
- National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children (UK)
- Samaritans (UK)
We will randomly select a winner each day from those who entered, and will notify the winner via Direct Message (this means you have to be following us to be eligible). Note: your tweets must be public to be eligible, if not, we won’t be able to see that you replied! The winner will then respond to us with his/her choice of charity, as well as the name he/she wishes to have the donation made under.
We’ll announce the previous day’s winner every day, and we’ll continue through the weekend, so make sure to check your account on Saturday and Sunday too.
We’re looking forward to the opportunity that the 12 Days of Phishless Christmas gives us to give back to some of our favorite charities, as well as interact with our Twitter followers. We hope that all of you will participate!
Merry (Phishless) Christmas and Happy Holidays from PhishMe!
